About this web site
At present a group of veterinarians and scientists is involved in a large-pan-European study (funded and supported by Intervet International), with the aim of further investigating the role of Bordetella bronchiseptica in feline upper respiratory tract disease (see the Research section for more information).

Intervet International commissioned Vetstream to produce this peer-reviewed website, the initial aim of which was to provide a means of communication between members of this research group.  However, this objective has now been widened to serve as a comprehensive source of information on Bordetella bronchiseptica infection in cats for veterinarians, veterinary students, veterinary scientists, and other people interested in the care and welfare of cats including cattery owners, cat breeders and cat owners. The site also aims to share information on emerging research into the role of Bordetella bronchiseptica in respiratory disease in cats.
